Studio 145 Initiative is a federally incorporated non-profit based in Mississauga, dedicated to supporting NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) and BIPOC youth during pivotal moments in their creative journeys. Since 2018, we have bridged critical gaps in arts education by providing hands-on training in audio production, photography, videography, and more—disciplines often overlooked in traditional educational settings. Our mission is to empower emerging talent by fostering creative exploration, professional development and cultural expression, all while amplifying marginalized voices.
At the heart of our work is the “Each One Teach One” model, which emphasizes peer mentorship and collaboration. This approach ensures that participants not only learn essential skills but also pass them on to others, creating a sustainable cycle of knowledge-sharing. We’ve partnered with schools, cultural institutions and grassroots organizations to deliver innovative programs that provide youth with access to beats, studio time, recording spaces, video production tools, marketing support and graphic design resources. This holistic support system enables participants to produce and complete projects, from concept to completion, helping them build their artistic identities and professional portfolios as well as expand the capacity of their skillset.
By addressing both creative and logistical barriers, Studio 145 empowers youth to express themselves authentically while equipping them with the skills, resources, and opportunities to thrive as emerging arts professionals. Through mentorship, hands-on training, and unwavering support, we are shaping the next generation of creative leaders—one artist at a time.
